Probably the first loft conversion in Toronto, dating to 1983, by Bob Mitchell, this is a true hard loft. The building, which has been a livery stable at the turn of the century, and later a felt factory, was divided into ten loft spaces. Each of the units has a fireplace and a large roof garden. The loft units range in size from about 800 to 1,800 sq.ft., and feature varied ceiling heights, reaching in some spots up to 30 feet, but mostly around 12 feet. Reasonable maintenance fees do not cover heat or hydro. Pets are permitted.
